The 'Rightmire Report'

(2) William Rightmire was born in Ohio in either 1813 or 1814. He married Lucinda Welker just before 1838. Lucinda was born about 1818 also in Ohio. Our information on William and Lucinda is very limited. The most significant information came from the following 1850 Census, Millwood, Knox County, Ohio:

William Rightmire, 36, M, Laborer, --, Ohio
Lucinda Rightmire, 32, F, --, --, --, Ohio
Mary S. Rightmire, 12, F, --, --, --, Ohio
Charles H. Rightmire, 9, M, --, --, --, Ohio

In the Bureau of Land Management records, there's a William Rightmire who purchased 40 acres in Union Twp, Knox County on 7 Nov 1837. Document says that he was "of Knox County" when he signed.

We know they had two children from the 1850 census data:

(3) Mary S. Rightmire, born about 1838.
(3) Charles H. Rightmire born about 1841.
